Whenever we think of maintaining good health, mother earth offers a wide variety of plants that have incredible health benefits. No matter we think of adding them into our diet or including them in our surrounding as décor, certainly the plants are your way to incredible health.

  • Fat, salt and sugar– High amount of saturated fat, salt and sugar injures the lining of our blood vessels, raises the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is recommended to avoid these from regular rotations. Instead, add healthy fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, low fat dairy products and follow plant based way to health.

 

  • Bacon – Almost half of bacon’s calories carry saturated fat (bad cholesterol), which ultimately can rise your LDL (low-density lipoprotein) and enhance the chance of heart attack or stroke. Its high salt content increases the blood pressure and makes tough for heart to work. It also contains high amount of sodium which can lead to heart disease and even in heart failure.

 

  • Meat– Eating beef, lamb and pork regularly raises the chance of heart diseases. Its high saturated fat content can boost cholesterol level. Just limit your portions if feeling tough to avoid completely. Also, prefer lean cuts like sirloin and extra lean ground beef. Still, I must say, have your meal plant based and enjoy healthy life as only plants are your way to incredible health.

 

  • Butter– Butter, high in saturated fat, can dangerously raise your bad cholesterol, resulting acute heart disease. Better to replace butter with healthy olive oil or vegetable oil based spreads. Olive oil and vegetable oil contain healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. If you have high cholesterol problem, a spread with stanol results better. Regular use of such spreads can help in lowering your LDL cholesterol levels.
